6:00pm Event

George the puggle will tell us why he is always frustrated when Sarah Gray from New Zealand cooks her famous pavlova.

Alya Fattah from Iraq will weave a tale of her rice with lentils and lima beans while Nicole Melki from Lebanon has a story about her tabouli and the two of them will squabble happily about “to measure or not to measure” because they always do.

Language confusion features in Annette Glauninger’s story of being German and trying to cook successfully in this new land. And from India the vibrant and beautiful Tishina Subrahmanyam and Cherissa Castellino will do a duet on the struggles and delights of cooking those multiple complex Indian dishes.

After the stories enjoy tasting the dishes described by the storytellers. This informal event includes cash bar and open mike. Come prepared to tell a short 2 – 3 minute story of your own about cooking a dish from another country or be one of our many listeners.
