Young college students Mike and Becka are in love and want to get married. Mike is going to a parent-teacher dinner with his roommate, so he’ll tell his mother there—or will he? Love and innocence collide with vanity and deception as all gather in this Me Too era sex farce.
About the Playwright:
Maripat Allen lives in Manistee Michigan. She first got involved in theater twenty five years ago acting the part of Doris in Same Time Next Year, and has played various comedic and dramatic roles in community theater since.
Maripat began writing plays about ten years ago and won first place in the Community Theater Association of Michigan’s 2014 playwriting contest with her family drama, We Gather Together. In 2015 her comedy, The Would Be Lover’s Guide was produced as a main stage production through the Manistee Civic Players.. Her one act drama, Cassandra’s Dream was produced at the IndyFringe Diva Festival in Indianapolis in 2018. Her ten-minute play, Stay, was selected for the ten-minute play contest at the Acorn Theater Three Oaks, Michigan in 2018.
