Jabberwocky

During the last decade or so knitting has grown in popularity and it is not just for grandma anymore. Come hear the stories of individuals who are passionate about their knitting. During the open-mike, you may choose to share your own knitting stories .The evening includes a cash bar, snacks, stories and a chance to make new friends.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the stories begin at 6 p.m.

Jack and his best friend Dale have been in a rut since their recent retirement. When Jack discovers his great, great grandfather’s Civil War memorial is going to be destroyed he enlists Dale to help him save it. Their adventure leads to excitement, trouble, and making a new friend.

As the four women share what the gym means to each of them, they discover common ground and the strength to face life's challenges.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Maripat Allen lives with her husband in Manistee, Mich., where she works as a therapist and enjoys acting in community theater and playwriting. Her drama, “We Gather Together,” won first place in the Community Theater Association of Michigan 2014 contest. Her comedy, “The Would Be Lover's Guide,” was produced in Manistee in 2015.

“Moon Beneath Her Feet” is a challenging yet hopeful play about a woman, Julia, struggling not only with her messy love life, but also with unexplained, occasional blindness and troubling insomnia. There are answers for both Julia's heart and mind in the truth, but finding the truth in her mother's stories won't be easy…

Indianapolis Ballet presents: “New Works” Showcase

On the heels of its debut residency in February featuring three pieces of familiar ballet classics, the new Indianapolis Ballet professional company will mix it up in early March during a run of “New Works” showcases at the IndyFringe’s Basile Theatre. These six performances in front of a cabaret-style set-up in the intimate space on Mass Ave will feature an eclectic mix of ballet and additional forms of dance highlighting choreography by the members of Indianapolis Ballet and its artistic team.
