About Indy Fringe
IndyFringe is a 501c3 arts organization that the serves the community by creating opportunities for emerging artists. Each August, we host the IndyFringe Festival, an 11 day celebration of live theatre featuring more than 50 performers and groups with almost 400 shows up and down Mass Ave.
Our summer also includes the Mass Ave 4th of July Picnic, with a prime view of Indianapolis’ spectacular fireworks display, and our major fundraising event, The Longest Dinner, featuring outstanding local chefs.
About Our Internships
Every summer, we offer opportunities for college or post-college interns who can work from June through August, although we can exercise flexibility on exact start and end dates.
Because IndyFringe is a small organization, interns typically receive more responsibility than at many similar internships. This creates an incredible opportunity, as well as real-life, resume-worthy professional work. Our interns have a significant impact on our organization.
Internships fall into two categories: Event Management and Marketing.
Event Management interns take an active, hands-on role in the preparation for and running of the IndyFringe Festival, as well as in running various events in our two theatres.
Marketing interns promote the fringe festival and other events through both new and established media. They receive extensive experience in emerging social media and blogs, as well as in writing e-newsletters, press releases and public relations with local radio, newspapers and radio.
