Indiana Playwrights Circle: 10-Minute Play Festival

About

7 new plays from Indiana-based playwrights were selected for this year's festival presented by 7 different theatre companies! From awkward interactions at a dog park to getting lost inside a cave, you won't know what's coming next. These will make you laugh, cry, and reflect on your relationships, as the Indiana Playwrights Circle takes you through 7 unique stories all in 90 minutes!

About the Plays 

 

Terms and Conditions by Mary Karty - Presented by Emerging Artists Theatre 

Directed by: Anthony L Nathan 

Synopsis: A young man takes a chance by ordering a robot programmed to be his virtual fantasy woman, but he is not ready for the reality of having a girlfriend.

 

Two Yards of Satan by Kelly Andronico - Presented by Westfield Playhouse 

Directed by: Kate Hinman

Synopsis: Pam ordered two yards of satin to finish a Holy Communion dress, but a typo results in her getting a six-foot-tall Satan instead. 

 

Scavengers by Marcia Eppich-Harris - Presented by Catalyst Repertory 

Directed by: Casey Ross 

Synopsis: Klara and Jeff met online, but they're meeting in person for their first date. When they're accosted by two teenagers, Klara and Jeff have a defining moment. 

 

Karma Cop by Megan Ann Jacobs - Presented by Elliot Productions

Directed by: Spencer Elliott 

Synopsis: Cloe finally did it. She is a Karma Coop and cannot wait for her first assignment. However, trouble brews when her charge is not who she imagined. Can Cloe get creative and turn this human disaster around or will she be stuck in a world of negative karma forever?  

 

Echoes by Garret Schneider - Presented by Monument Theatre Company 

Directed by: Caleb Clark

Synopsis: An echo is your own sound coming back for you.  What happens when your old grief finds you?

 

Nice Knowing You by Lou Harry - Presented by American Lives Theatre 

Directed by: Chris Saunders

Synopsis: Is there really such a thing as a first date when we are such open books? 

 

Dog Park by Josie Gingrich - Presented by Theatre Unchained

Directed by: Megan Ann Jacobs 

Synopsis: When two women suffering from pandemic-related social awkwardness meet at a dog park, it's clear they both have secrets to reveal.

 

All 7 Plays will be presented as part of the same program, running approximately 90-minutes
